Maintenance/Logistical Support

  • Safair currently has Hercules operations in Europe, Australia and Africa with established logistical support lines, spare engines, propellers and major modules, as well as flight line spares and equipment valued at ± USD 40 000 000.00

  • The aircraft will be accompanied and supported by experienced and dedicated technicians. Should the aircraft encounter an unscheduled technical problem Safair shall use its best endeavours to repair the aircraft in the shortest possible

  • An extensive fly-away kit will be supplied

The Hercules aircraft is one of the most versatile aircraft for operating on unprepared airstrips worldwide and with the possibility to fit external fuel tanks and its relative low fuel consumption; it is even possible to operate to destinations where fuel is not readily available. Safair can convert the Hercules from a freighter configuration to a bulk fuel tanker within 6 hours.

 

Transporting your cargo with the Hercules ensures your cargo and equipment arrive when you need them and where you need them and can reduce "down" time and eliminate expensive production delays.

 

All operations are supported by our own Maintenance Division which is both FAA and JAA approved, in the form of technicians, spare engines, propellers and extensive fly-away kits, in order to ensure high quality and reliable services. On each flight the services of a professional load-master is available.
